Here We Are 04:42
Here we are standing in the dirt an anchor to the earth and a big house to the worms Here we are standing in for ourselves waiting on time to tell a story we can sell Here we are listening to strange sounds and they all emanate from a source that can’t be found Here we are standing on our own grasping at what we know and never letting go Here we are standing in the dark waiting for the earth to turn Here we are standing in the cold waiting for something comfortable Here we are standing on a fault line where we start to rattle and shake and ask is this your fault or mine Here we are standing slightly askew under skies that are partly cloudy trying to catch a glimpse of a star or two Here we are…

Bicycle 03:23
I rode my bike through the city and I rode my bike through my favourite park it was a beautiful day with many reasons to celebrate I saw three newlyweds, bridesmaids, and best men, flashing well-dressed smiles amongst the trees I continued along my way the park is so full of life today and then I came upon parents soon-to-be well the couple posed for a picture with the proud man’s arms wrapped around his proud partner’s big swollen belly I saw the cycle of life from the bicycle I love to ride I saw the cycle of life today I continued along my way the park is so full of life today and then I came upon the part where the dead people lay and right beside where the dead people lay I saw a solitary boy at play shaking a stick through the weeds I saw the cycle of life from the bicycle I love to ride I saw the cycle of life today I continued along my way the park is so full of life today then sadly I reached the end I was home and I was spent I wrote this song and climbed into bed and smiled as the chorus played in my head I saw the cycle of life from the bicycle I love to ride I saw the cycle of life today Oh what a beautiful day…

Now I will leave this all to fate so I won’t have to bear this weight no more Hold on my lazy eye you’re far too old to move from side to side Hold on my swollen tongue you’ve made your point now just say goodnight And I will leave this all to fate so I won’t have to bear this weight no more Now I’m just holding on by this old thread and I believe that I am all but dead Now I’m just holding on by this old thread and I don’t recognize my wife or kids Now I will leave this all to fate so I won’t have to bear this weight no more Hold on my shaky hip give me a sign if you are gonna slip Hold on my fading heart if it’s the end I thank you for the start And I will leave this all to fate so I won’t have to bear this weight no more Now I’m just holding on by this old thread and I believe that I am all but dead Now I’m just holding on by this old thread and I don’t recognize my wife or kids I’ve outlived all my dearest friends Now I will leave this all to fate so I won’t have to bear this weight no more

We’re in a long line we invested so much time we’re in a long line Not willing to give up what we saved we’re much too proud to walk away We’re funny creatures funny to figure out we’re funny creatures so obnoxious with our mouths especially in crowds And when the massive crowds appear oh dear I wanna disappear I wanna be alone And when those sights and sounds arrive oh my I wanna run and hide under my cotton sheets This weight is oh so heavy this heart is almost ready this weight is oh so heavy We’re inundated and hooked on technology we’re inundated and hooked on all the flashy things like a fish to a lure like a moth is to a flame In a crowd we’re so loud it’s such a shame When I crave to be alone I crave to leave the world as a passing memory When I crave to be alone I crave to leave the footsteps I crave to be at home I crave to be alone…

Bit By A Dog 02:35
I got bit by a dog down at Beaver Lake it drew my blood and the owner made it boil I was left in shock as she took the dog for a walk I can take a lot but this I just could not I waited for her to come back so we could have a talk and it was clear from the top that she was more than a little off She said "dogs are vicious down here and bite people all the time" I shook my head as my ankle bled and fired off this reply "it's people just like you with that selfish attitude your perception a little skewed to fit a rigid point of view and it ruins it for the others our safety compromised you don't see your fault cause you just won't open up your eyes but you'll keep biting in and you'll keep holding on" oh my God I got bit by a dog I don't wannna hate cause there's enough of that for sure but if this is how she's gonna behave than I'm gonna declare war I called the authorities and in detail I described "there's a vicious human being strolling around the countryside" well the bylaws may be weak but I've been feeling mighty strong I'll spread the word I'll spread the song control your 'uckin dogs Well I'm so very tired of all the ignorant people who don't care about anyone but themselves maybe they need some leashes or we should send them to the pound it's the humans not the dogs we need to put down cause they'll keep biting in and they'll keep holding on oh my God I got bit by a dog oh my God I got bit by a dog

The Drive 03:34
And I curse this life when it is mine there’s people rushing by While I take my time In a world so large I still cannot hide on this lovely street I spend half the night With the ground on fire and I have lost my shoes and as I run for cover my legs they won’t move I’m tired of losing I’m tired of staying alive but things will be just fine walking down the drive And the drive is where I collide with mediocrity so harmoniously It’s a thoroughfare that doesn’t stare at my scars laboriously Now I am fading fast but know I’ll make it last and some day I’ll come back and retrace my filthy steps And I curse this life when it is mine now there’s people rushing by while I take my time

If I were a lion in a cage would you steal the keys and unlock the gate If I were a lion in a cage would you walk with me the entire way Back to my home where I'd rather die back to my home back with my pride If I were a lion in a cage would you fix your eyes on my mane If I were a lion in a cage would you be the hand to flip the page Cause this story's getting old I'm bored everyday I am getting old and I don't wanna stay If I were a lion in a cage would you understand why I was afraid If i were a lion in a cage you'd be a swan on the lake If I were a lion in a cage

Name Tags 03:07
I think that we should all wear name tags and not those tacky plastic ones they are so lame I think that we should all wear name tags and they should be hand made they should be handmade I’ll make mine out of cardboard and cut it into shapes crowns and rounds and giant stars with many different colours to print my name it’s just a thought that I don’t wanna waste name tags might make this strange city a friendlier place I like your name tag I really like your name where are you from and what makes you afraid Oh won’t you open up your gates and put a smile on your disheveled face Oh won’t you open up your gates and let this good stuff soak this space I like your name tag I really like your name where are you from and what makes you afraid Tell me what makes you afraid...

Tyler Cameron Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

New tunes! It's been a while...too long. I suppose this was my pandemic project. It began at home recording on an ancient version of Garageband. The majority of vocals and guitars were recorded at "The Bird's Nest" (home). Big shout-outs to Mike Ryan and Thomas Stacjer for helping me deliver this bundle of joy. Thanks for listening! I hope you like the songs.
